Boatnt, is there anything else that has the name Smoking III on it in the boat or that you have? We are going to change the name and after some research have found some "rules" to follow to appease the boating gods. Don't need no bad JUJU while boating ya know...

Renaming your boat...
1. remove all traces of the boat's old name.
2. pray to Neptune to release the old name from his records and acknowledge the new name.
3. do not carry anything bearing the new name on to the boat until it's done.
4. use champagne to christen the boat with it's new name...pour some champagne on the boat and some into the water to appease Neptune.


Not that I'm superstitious

I found and printed 3 similar but slightly different guidelines on how to do it with the best outcome, and what you put is the gist of it. We are going to make it a party when we do it on the river, lot's of champagne!
