Hey AJ, funny you should ask...my Marine Tech called me yesterday. Engines installed and running, he was going to water test if the weather held up. Last year with the tired mills I was getting 84 mph @ 4900 rpm...should be pulling 5200 rpm & ?? mph...we'll see with overhauls/upgrades or if I still need props. It's not just about the speed but that it's running efficiently (okay call BS here if you like!).
Here's the really ****ty part...my GF & I probably won't see the boat/holidays until mid/late July...damn work schedules!
Asked my guy to take some pic's if he has a chance...Keep ya posted.

Bob280Silencer 05-14-2011 10:49 AM

That's really sad when your tech has to take pics of your boat to send to you ! Work does seem to get in the way sometimes.

Hey jamie

whats the best you seen out of your 300?
what you think about the ride the boat gives once over 90?

I have seen 93 late in the year on limiters by myself.
The boat seems to handle real well in the upper 80's,near 90.
It's a real eye opener to a lot of people! I have attended quite a few runs in Lake George and Sacandaga, many know the boat.

Millenniue Marine in Michigan rigged the boat. Drove it out there a year after I owned it!

cpiefer06 05-17-2011 06:55 PM

Ya know here is something that really sucks... Finding simple things like oil and grease out here in apparently booneyville is not very easy. It sure would be nice to be in a more "major" market for these type of things but not all. Trying to find Kendall oil wasn't easy but did get and had to do a lot of searching for Lith complex grease. I guess what I am saying is, it is odd how some would take some things for granted and others wouldn't have a clue on what some things even are.

Demographics... what can you say???

THE 288 KID 05-17-2011 08:48 PM

By demographics would you mean my town being 98.6% white with a population around 1300? LOL

inknppr 05-19-2011 08:40 PM

Verbi have you had the new boat out yet?

No...no there wouldn't be any more snow left in Sudbury but it would be mosquito season followed immediately by black flies. :angry-smiley-038:

cpiefer06 05-20-2011 09:51 PM

Them flies suck! Did a canoe trip in Canada back in the day and they can bite worse then my dog.

AJ POWERPLAY 05-20-2011 10:42 PM

Hey guys, I don't post over here very often but I've been checking this site out more and more each day since Speedwake is so dead. I have a good friend looking for a Legend (bowrider). We cannot find one anywhere, if you happen to see one or know someone that wants to sell please let me know. Thanks

cpiefer06 05-21-2011 09:18 PM

I can't phucking believe the first time out at our "home" ramp and would you believe there was a screw out of place by more than enough on the dock to gouge the drivers side custom graphics for about a foot and a half right in the purple paint. I could vomit... and almost did as I could feel and hear this horrible event unfolding.

So naturally after we were done and ready to go I went over the dock with some tools and removed that one and another, and on top of that I am going to buy them some fricking corner fenders.

I am so PI$$ED

you may want to think about doing this to your trailer,,just did it to mine because the front is painted and I did not want the roller scuffing the paint.

Is that the piece from Myco? How much and does come as it, or did you have to add the pads? How do you know where to place it?

Splashed the boat this weekend boys and all I can say is it was everything i could have hoped for!!
This thing is really quick to plane, flies level, crushes waves, handled 3'-4' footers like nothing, strong midrange, and sounds darn nasty with the 525's!! :evilb:
We spent two nights on it and I can't get over the comfort that the boat offers up.:drink:

That sucks..but you can have someone weld the skeg while outdrive is still on boat,,just make sure you have your battery switches on the off position before any welding is done...
