If he can prove 68 mph with a gps then there is alot more hp under the hatch. For 20k with a trailer and almost 70 mph I dont see how you can loose. The legend is a GREAT boat. I would be all over that boat (even with the volvo) if its clean and includes a trailer for $20k.

Just keep in mind that yes with a volvo it will be harder to sell. People want to see mercs behind a performance boat. Not saying the volvos aren't good, just need more of a sale pitch. I went through it with my chase.

ended up buying the boat, real happy with what i got. Performance wise, it must be a good one, not sure about the claimed 68 gps, but I had it doing 62 gps on the weekend and it was rough out. My guess is 65 easy on a nice calm day.

Congrats on the purchase!
Volvo Penta makes some really nice stuff and to tell you the truth I don't believe it will hurt your resale one bit. Some areas are not as populated with Volvo but do a quick search and you will see several boat manufacturers offer Volvo.
The duo prop drive shifts very smooth compared to Merc......been there done that.
