surprising thing is, he offered to throw it in the water and show me
If he can prove 68 mph with a gps then there is alot more hp under the hatch. For 20k with a trailer and almost 70 mph I dont see how you can loose. The legend is a GREAT boat. I would be all over that boat (even with the volvo) if its clean and includes a trailer for $20k.

Take it from someone who just spent 8 months of full time PQ shopping, if you can get the boat and trailer for 20k, its a no brainer so long as its in good shape and runs good.

Just keep in mind that yes with a volvo it will be harder to sell. People want to see mercs behind a performance boat. Not saying the volvos aren't good, just need more of a sale pitch. I went through it with my chase.

ended up buying the boat, real happy with what i got. Performance wise, it must be a good one, not sure about the claimed 68 gps, but I had it doing 62 gps on the weekend and it was rough out. My guess is 65 easy on a nice calm day.

Congratulations on the PQ. They're all goods ones, the performance variable is whatever is under the hatch!

Congrats on the purchase!
Volvo Penta makes some really nice stuff and to tell you the truth I don't believe it will hurt your resale one bit. Some areas are not as populated with Volvo but do a quick search and you will see several boat manufacturers offer Volvo.
The duo prop drive shifts very smooth compared to Merc......been there done that.
