Got it in the water tonight. Didn’t get to really do a test run I really just needed it off the trailer. Got an appointment to get new tires for the trailer in the morning.
I still have some work to do on the interior, really just need to get the backseat back in, the wall it attaches to and the front cushion on the engine hatch that my wife restitched the seam on.

it needs good cleaning to…….its dirty from all the work it’s taken.

Got about 15-20 hours on the boat. Been idling up and down the lake. The rebuilt motor has been issue free however the port motor not so much. The port motor at first would only run for 5-10 minutes and quit. Then after a while and it would run for upwards of an hour putting around with out issue. Tried to get the boat on plane and the motor spit and sputtered. So at this point I’ve only gone as fast as 7ish mph. I have not done anything to the carbs so I was going to start by rebuilding both carbs and go from there, seems like the most logical place to start as I believe this is fuel related, but just guessing at this point. This adventure has no end in sight 😁

Looked ok to me? I went ahead and switched the cap, rotor and plug wires on the motors to isolate the issue. Ordered the carb rebuild kits tonight.

Boat is running good enough to crawl up and down the lake. Pumped some water out of the tank and just cleaned the carb so hopefully that gets me on plane. 😁. Spent a couple days rubbing on it to try and bring back the shine in the gel coat. Got a new set of power play stickers for the boat, I went with white reflective and the original size. Thinking next year replacing it with a larger size and possibly the old school powerquest logo.

Pretty exciting day, the boat got right up on plane today. I only had it there for a minute as Spring Lake has no wake for 26ft and larger. Next weekend I’ll hit the Grand River or Lake Michigan to hit cruising speed for a little longer.
