I heard Shooters is closed .Is that true?????

That would be news to me. They close all winter each year, but given all the upgrades they did in docks and stuff I would be surprised if they are closed. They have changed ownership in the past.

I'm with you on getting the head start My 29 PQ only has (2) 310 So meeting all these BIG DOGS down there I don't want to be an obstacle they have to pass I will need all the HP's I can get out of my 310's .

QUEST - 310's? I have 300's so you can pave the way. Actually, there is some debate with the locals as to whether I have 300's or 330's. Stock 97' carb 454's.......I swear they are 300 hp.

I may be getting a few more hp's with the aftermarket flame arrestors....

My 1st 290 had 454 carbs there 330hp at the flywheel but loose some hp threw the outdrive and you end up with 300hp at the prop.
I also had installed gaffric flame arrestors I saw better throttle response and about 1mph gain,

You should be able to get the serial #'s off the motors, and call mercruiser and they should be able to tell you the HP.
