Just Put Deposit on 38 PQ
Hello PQ forum. After going back and forth between buying another Formula and a 38 PQ I decided on the Avenger. It is a loaded 1997 w/500hp's owned by a meticulous guy that took really good care of it. It is a lot of boat for the money. I was apprehensive at first because I have always had a love for Formula boats and still do. But to get into the 1997 and newer range I just couldn't come up with the jack to buy a comparable Formula. I have heard really good things about PQ and the 38 has tons of room. I can't wait to sea trail this thing. We are still buried in snow so it will be another month. I have heard different #'s for speed but if it will run 70 I will be happy. I spend about every weekend in the summer on the boat so I was looking for all the goodies. This boat fit the ticket perfect!

Re: Just Put Deposit on 38 PQ
Thanks guys. I will have pics first of the week. Hopefully the survey and sea trial will go well. Unfortunately I have to sell my baby now. I know I will miss my 357 but after 5 years of pouring my heart and soul into her it's time to sell. I don't know what it is, but everytime I get all the bugs wotked out of my boat I go a sell it, I know, it's stupid. I just enjoy fixing them up.
My brother has a 29 enticer runs and handles very well. I am impressed wtih the layout of these boats. They seem to have the best of both worlds. Performance and comfort. I can't wait to get this beast out on the water.
Thanks again
Josh

Let me add my congratulations to you on your choice of an Avenger. PQ makes great boats, not the fastest but definatlly the most comfortable. I have the 34 with the HP 500's and love it but would like more room thus am looking for a 2000 /2003 Avenger.
Relative to your speed you should get 70-73. I get 75-77 with my 34.
