WOW, you two sure like to b--ch back and forth to each other.

You have to get up with the times. First off the sumner plant did close last week, everyone was laid off and the equipment will be moved to the new location very soon.

I have worked on boats from both the Randy and the new owners (Jim Barnicle Sr.) and your right the new ones are much, much better.

But you don't really have anything to complain about with the new owners other than you may think there is another pocket to pick from. RIGHT!!!!!

You may or may not have a valid beef with Randy and Debbie, but you really should grow up and deal with it on that level. But you sound like the kind of person that will throw s--t against the wall and run with what ever you think may stick.

You two should communicate privately, the rest of us don't care about the ax you want to grind.

Right on jwp51! Those two guys are ridiculous! When i read chit like that i just think about the credibility of the source. I heard about what was being said i thought i might say that i bought an 07 260 Profile that was built at the new plant and it is FANTASTIC! I couldn't be happier. The attention to detail is outstanding, and the performance is excellent. Jwp51 i think i know who you are, you may have worked on my boat. It has a red and black laser wire graphics with smoke windscreens. Send me a PM.

Dear jpw51 poker joe from no where:

The "new guys" owned this operation while my boat was being trashed. Do you REALLY want to go there????

What I find is interesting is "they" have been telling everyone, it was a whole new company with all new people, in a all new location, for the last 18 months, now you say it was just shut down last week. Did you just expose a prior lie, or a current one?

So we can take from your comments any new boat in showrooms or with a build date of pre-some point in the future was made by the same old crew, in the same old place, by the same old people, with the same old history???

There is TONS of evidence that 6 months after the suposed sale date the "new" owners were saying Randy was building the boats, and lots of other evidence the "new owners" were singng a different tune. Ask their attorney, he has copies as part of pre-trial discovery. Somehow I imagine you have the phone number.

So this is what, the third, fourth, fifth time it is all brand new? How many times will that dog hunt? Remember, in an information age there are no secrets.....

Although it pains us at Profile to respond to Dean Owen, i feel that we need to once again tell our loyal customers as well as the readers on this site our position on this matter. When I bought Profile Custom Powerboats I did not purchase the work in progress for this mans used boat. Unfortunately Dean has a dispute with the previous owner of the company, which we are hearing a different story from. When I was notified about this problem I called Dean to explain our position. Unfortunately this man now has a personal vendetta against me for a problem that I had no part of. Since I took over ownership of the company I have never denied any warranty issue and have always worked through any problem to the best of my ability. Furthermore to establish my business credibility I have never been sued or have never sued anyone else. Knock on wood. I am a strong believer in customer service as well as quality control. The boats that we are building are of excellent detail and superb craftsmanship. In addition to that I have recently created new molds for the 304, and 331 open bow decks as well as a new deck for the 372, 382 and 402, not to mention a new helm mold and having the existing 260 mold re tooled. I have also constructed a new state of the art factory located in Richland Center, WI. I am certainly not writing this response to bash Dean or anyone; it is not good for this site, my company or the boating industry.

Jim,

Thank you for the civil response. If you care to take this off line I would agree, you have my phone number and e-mail. If you would prefer not to take this off line this forum would be acceptable.

There seems to be some questions of fact which do not line up. EXACTLY when did you buy this? Since there are known dates for delivery and pick up of the boat that should be easy to understand.

Once it was bought there were employees like JWP51, who worked for BOTH sides of this company. I wonder if he worked on my boat. What happened to the employees if you did not pickup the work in process? Who completed the work in process? Were it the same people who started the work in process or did the old profile pull in entirely new people, or did Randy do the work himself? Or did the same people do work for both sides, and as stated every profile in a showroom with a pre-some future build date was built by folks who worked on my boat? You may recall I ask you these questions once before, that is what triggered the letter from your attorney without answer. Can you help me understand which of these are accurate? If there is some other fact left unsaid, I am open to that possability.

That information might be helpful in explaining things, seeing as how questions of fact exist. Again, if you care to take this offline that would be acceptable.

What? I can't ask about his problem? Who are you to say no one cares ? There are alot of people out there that got hosed by Randy and I am one of them. I just wish that OSO was aroud then, maybe I wouldn't have had to go through what I did. If I can help someone for making that mistake I will. jwp51 you have admitted that they had problems yourself and you work there!!!!!!! So why can't I tell of my night mare????
