Bent Blades? Home repair How to?
#12
Bending stainless can be tricky if the bend is large. Stainless can become stress fatigued and will crack when you try to bend it back. For that reason we always heat the blade prior to the bend. This can be done by the consumer but getting the right temp. can be tricky too.

I have bent blades on bass boats and runabouts and straightened them out myself with pretty good luck as long as you take your time. Biggest thing is the filing, sanding polishing. I wouldn't do it on my new boat though except for a short period of time. I have seen how much difference LAbbing makes. No home fixes now.
