Prop Experts..take a stab at this
#1
I've got a Top Gun that is going to be re-powered with lower HP (...and lower maintenence
) engines.
The boat currently has 1200HP engines/#6 dry sumps (1.50 ratio) and is running 4 blade 16.5 X 33 props, spinning them @ 6000rpm's. It is going to be repowered with 598 ci/750HP naturals and the same drives.
Any guesses on what props might be right to turn them @ 5600????
Thanks in advance,
Craig

I really don't know Julie, but I would think somewhere in the range of 11,500 when it's all fueled up and loaded with "boat sodas"
We talked briefly about this a couple of months ago and you came up with the same thing that BBlades has recommended. That will be a good starting point!! Thanks for giving my phone # to that guy from one of the race teams. He had a set of 16.5 29's that he said he would sell me, but I can't find his phone number and I can't remember his name.
Time to clean my desk!!!Craig
