BMAX definitely has the longevity but lacks slightly to the Bravo in hydrodynamics.

i had non step 35 with 550 hp could turn the 28 labbed hydros to 5100.
my buddy has a 99 38 step bottom and with 500's he spun 27's

You are right, Hydros are usually at or above the marked pitch while Merc Bravo style props are usually below the marked pitch. I have seen some of the Merc Bravo style props as much as 3 inches below the marked pitch.
