Hustler 25 Talon prop question
#1
i have a Hustler 25 Talon. It is a cat with a center pod. it has a 525 EFI with a bravo XR w/ITS. Currently i am running a 34" Bravo 1 and the boat runs good The issue is that with 5 people and half a talk of gas the boat doesnt plane off, passengers have to stand up and lean forward to get it going, but once on plane it runs like a dream. We have also tested a 32" bravo 1 and it plane's better I was wondering what i should or could do...any suggestions???

Try a five blade prop. I have a American Offshore 2600 which is a knock-off of the Talon 25 and that's the way I'm going. I'm sure that a labbed Maximus, a Throttle-up CNC 5-blade or a Hyromotive PX-5 will give you better planing and more top end. It looks like you're getting about 17% slip with either prop, which is a bit high, so you should try to improve on that anyhow. Talk to BBlades or Throttle-up about their views on this. I'm sure they can solve this problem for you.

There is a story behind the 34 B1's. They do have some personality issues that can be perfected. Planing is one of them. I'm sure the 34's can be dialed in to suit your needs.
