need prop help on a 28 cat

here is a question for you prop guru's, I'm running a 28 profile cat, 622 ci bowtie, natrually asperated, dyno # 827hp@5800 rpm, 834ftlb's @ 4700 rpm, Imco SC drive with stand off and 3 inch rise, drive ratio is 1.34 at 5600 rpm w/ 26p B1 runs 95 mph on gps, at 5200rpm w/26p B1 runs 88 mph on gps. hers's the question, if I run the slip #'s for a 26p B1 it's around 7.8% if I run the slip #'s for a 25p, which is what they claim I sould use it is around 4.0%, which # is correct, and is it possible to get that little slip out of a stock 26p B1, If I change over to a 5 blade will I get more speed.

thanks
Larry

You are correct in that you should use 25P when calculating slip. Now assuming that your numbers are accurate I would suspect that a 5B would possibly slow you down. At 4% you you are dialed in VERY well! Nice job!

As long as no pitch work was done the pitch would still be the same regardless of finish.

You would experience about a 250 RPM increase over it's stock RPM.
