SO bringing back an old thread, here/
BUT after a year of playing with both props and never doing anything. I sure like how the 4 blade handels. rpms dont climb in corners, and it responds at say 35mph kick so much better. so What do you think about a 24p B1 prop, would it be to much for the boat? in stock form?? or would i need to do that and have it worked to make It work?

Hello again,
We can supply the 24 in stock form for testing if needed. I feel strongly that you will desire the Labbing. It really make a big difference on these applications.

I have tried several with my 454mag setup..
24p b1
21p m+
23p m+
21rev 4
I couldn't spin the 24b1 but 4500 with heavy load.. light was at 4750 at 63 with cool weather and light load.
the 21p M+ was good out the hole but tapped rev and cruise sucked at 46 at 4k (which is my cruise)..
the 23p m+ was a good performer and got my best wot at 64.7 in 50 degree with 2ft chop.
the 23m+ however didn't get out the whole with my normal load of beer, gear, and 3-4 bodies. also lost cruise speed with weight in boat. would get 48-49 with light load and depending on water 47-48 loaded
The rev 4 21 was a ROCKET out the whole... I could climp out at 2000-2500 rpms!! that was cool! but tapped rev and hit 61 max light load..
all #'s are full fuel btw.. always top it off.
I had a 23m+ that i was about to lab with bblades, but before they called me back I found a 22p b1 that was uppitched to 23 and cup added.
It runs well. get a good cruise with load at 48-49 at 4k but tops at 60-61 wot in chop with load. Other than the lower wot, I like this prop.. turning it 49-5k trimmed and loaded and climbs out the whole with no tabs.. Cutting edge did this prop before I got it.
overall... I like the 22p b1 conversion.. probably would have been better to go with 24 then lab, but I found this for a good price.. Dont' know if Bblades could do anything with it since I at high on R's already. would like to get a lil more out the cruise and 62ish wot..
We actually ran the tickfaw 200 and ran a good bit at wot and was running 60 with buddies ahead and I couldnt catch up.. but they have bajas too and I wasnt trying to run that hard and then realized it was too late to catch anyway!!
BUT... the b1 held speed with extra weight and gets out the whole with more weight with ease..
hope this helps mittens... I think our hulls are similar! later gator

SO i need to try a 24B, and see where the rpms stop at and then the labbing will alow it to spin back up the the correct rpm?
more direct question, does labbing raise the rpm or lower it? do you buy bigger and lab to a higher rpm, or buy smaller and lab to a lower rpm.?

Lagging can offset.... Will let you get more Rpms to get up out of motor.
Now for the more important question, as I struggled with the same thing.
What is your goal?
Top end or whole shot or cruise. This was my delima
Top end = lab bed 23p m+
Cruise= lab bed 24p b1
Hole shot= 21p rev4
The 24 p b1 would have been what I really wanted. Best cruise with better hole shot with 4blades. Could push nonlabbed 4500 with heavy load so labbing to get 300 more Rpms would have been perfect.
But, I had to buy prop then lab...... So I ended up finding a 22p b1 that was repitched to 23 and cup added. Was not lab bed but cruise with good load and full fuel was at 48-49 at 4k and wot at 4900 or so at 60. Top end could be a little better, but I could get out hole w/ out any tabs... So I'm happy with that for now and only 1 good run to test. Need to clean k/n before next run b/c I forgot and it was pretty dirty, so might be able to squeeze another 2 out of her.
Did run 62 with light load and flat water on prev run..
Will see!! good luck

I would love to cruse a little faster, and i like the 4 blade when turning (does not rev up at all). the hole shot is niceer too with no tabs, and more responsive feeling at say a 35mph kick.
but i want to be able to hit 60 all the time too haha.
