Default speedmaster 3 prop

I need help. I have a Warlock 28 sxt, with a 572 making about 1000 hp, going into a turbo 400. I have tried 3 props and can't get it right. The last prop I tried was a 16.5 28p 3 blade cleaver, went about 74 mph at 4000 rpm. Anthing smaller doesn't want to move the boat.
Is there a better prop I can use with my set up. I'm going for speed. Thanks

Quick Question? who did you get the boat from and is it a #5 drive? I have 2 props That are 28x16.5 hoss 4 blade and a 28x18 4blade clever, that are available.not sure what the 400 does for you plus what gear ratio.

Are you looking for TOP or Exelaration or a bit of both ?
INFO ???????????
a bit of both. mostly top speed. I want to stay around 5200 rpms.
The 400 probably makes the gear ratio to be 1 36? or somewhere around there. I think the #3 drive originaly came with a 1 50?

If the gear ratio is 1.35:1, the slip is 9%. That is very good. You need to raise the rpms by decreasing pitch. It is hard to believe you can only turn 28 inches of pitch to 4000 rpm with 1000HP. ??

The X dimension on the #3 way to low, sticking out about 5 inches below Hull !!!!!!
Gonna stick a #4 on there with a 31 Pitch prop and the Baby should fly @ 5500 RPM with over 100 MPH .
98% it should work ?!
it better work!
I think it will go well over 100, with the big power. If not i'm sinking it.
