Hydromotive verse Bravo
On a non stepped Fountain hull with a low x dimension and 585 HP per side. What are the handling characteristic differences between a 32 Bravo one and a set of 32 4 blade Hydromotives?I can only spin the stock bravo ones to 4900 at 83.4 MPH.The hydromotives are labbed so Im thinking a few more RPMs but I dont want to buy them to find out they dont handle like the bravo ones.Does anyone have a set of 32 bravo ones labbed for sale? Also is it possible to get the bravos from 4900 to about 5400 without losing the mid range cruise?Im not worried about top end with these props but I want to cruise at low RPMs.
Thanks Anthony

I'm no prop expert but this is what I found out before I bought Hydros which work well for me. May some prop expert validate or correct me please. Hydromotive Q4s are true pitch while Bravo 1s are aprox 1" less than marked which is equiv. to aprox 200 rpms. Hydros not labbed, create more sternlift and are better for top end speeds on stepped Fountains. Bravo 1s are better at cruise speeds. I like the top end so went with Hydros. Lab finished Bravos are as good on top end as Hydros. Lab finished Hydros vs lab finished Bravos, I'm not sure?

my stepped fountain liked the Bravo's much better. With my higher X-dim (18") the hydros blow out and are hard to get on plane. Bravos are what comes stock on all Fountains now with XR drives. Before the stepped boats I am pretty sure that Hydros are what came stock. I have a friend that has a 96 29' with a small step and he has hydros on his and they run better than some bravos he has tried but again they are hard to get on plane and his X-dim is ~16.25 . He is right about the pitch on Bravos being about 1" overstated so adjust
