I've found a Hydromotive 5 Blade (23P) and a 25P Mirage Plus. I hope to find a nice Bravo 26P 4 Bl to compare against as well.

Given that the engine's target rpm will be around 5200 with about 510hp at that rpm on tap, what should I expect from this hull?
THE 5 BLADE IS A P OR PX THE PX IS A BOW LIFTING PROP THE P IS STERN, i HAVE A LABBED 26B1, IF YOU TRY THE MIRAGE 1ST then I could tell you if you need a 26 or not but the 3 blade might spin a lot with the x being at 5 1/2'' thats about where I am at now with the boat and run a 4 put bought a px5 30p

Tell me about it! I was just down on the beach by my house and there was some punk running around the bay on his 19ft Bayliner acting like it was fast!
I really can't wait to get mine back in the water now!!

Hey Art, how much power do I need to swing a 5 Blade 30P? And if I did, what kind of speed could I get?

a 5 would get us around 98 its a little slower than the 4. the guy I bought it off was getting 98 a 28ft rage900 to 1000hp I think we could break 100 thats possible. the drive will have to be a bravo 1xr beefed up or speed up quick not nailing it will let it last.

you 800 to 900hp maybe less, I can't go bigger prop it will just break the drive. I just bought a labbed 32 too. hope to hit 104 to 110 with it doing a kilo small chop 1' at 6000 top 6400rpms and slip would need to be 12% to 16%, right now I am at 12% 83.2gps at 5800 to 6000 rpm and still climbing it was hard to read the tach as I was moving my left hand on the steering wheel so fast to stop the chine walk, but with the new full hyd steering it should be gone. if I break the drive with the 5 blade I will cut it back a little and de pitch it to a 29.theres a few 24 and 25ol baja boats running high 90s to 109, so I now it can be done

I have a 22' Donzi Classic so we're talking about a similar configuration with traditional 24 degree V and a deep X and the best prop on my boat to date is a 23P Mercury Revolution 4. It's a 4 blade with the rake to carry the bow and provide a bit more stable ride at WOT. On my boat a 23P Turbo 1 and the 23P Rev 4 have EXACTLY the same top end, 63.5 MPH on GPS. I'm only pushing 330 HP through the prop and my rev limiter is 4700 RPM so I'm getting all there is to get with a 5% slip.

I would suggest the 25P Revolution 4 and don't be too concerned about running 5200 - 5400 RPM if the motor is built for it. The resultant punch and responsiveness you get in the midrange by running a slightly smaller prop turning a few hundred RPM more at WOT can make the boat a lot more fun in the rough stuff.

Many have tried the B1 on these older, deep X boats and most don't like them. They just don't offer the leverage to carry the bow that these boats need. OTOH my Labbed 26P B1 on my old 26' Velocity was amazing. I used to spin it up to 5700 RPM and run low to mid 80's regardless of fuel or passengers and the responsiveness I had in rough water was simply amazing. I could easily control the way the boat flew with simple flicks of the throttle.

I picked up my Rev 4on ebay for about $385, it was the best prop purchase I've made in a long time.
