We try OFX5x23 on high ventilated drive and compare it with Maximus 15-1/4x26.
OFX:
- hughe slip, cca 20%.
- week bow lift and we never try it at full throtle becouse of this, it was to dangerous.
- want to "spin" boat over right side. We need two passangers in left to go stright-high torque.
- minimum speed 26 mph.
- each turn it is blow out if not trimed in.
Maximus 15-1/4x26 ST
- slip 14%.
- enough bow lift.
- straight ride, no more tendency to "spin".
- minimum speed 21 mph.
- no more cavitation at turns.
After we give OFX for test someone with classic heavy boat and B1 drive. He reach 36 mph and start to plane emediatelly. With alu Mercury props and Signature M500 he did not reach more than 29 mph and always he have troubles with cavitation on start. He buy it from me and he is really happy with it.
I give him mine Maximus for test. He also find lower minimum plane speed, he reach one mph more, but it was owerproped for his engine.
