Default Bravo 1 to Maximus

I am thinking of going from a bravo 1 30p to a Maximus , do I keep the same pitch or go smaller to keep the same rpm's ?

With the larger diameter and adding a blade pitch down. I believe the maximus is 15 5/8 diameter . It didn't work for me ... great mid range but lost 5 mph on top compared to the bravo one. They seem to work better on a higher drive set up.

There is a 500 rpm (give or mostly take) drop in rpm for pitch from the B1 to the Maximus propeller. This is why we Lab Finish the Maximus propeller on a daily basis. We can keep the benefits the 5 blade technology offers you on the bravo drive system and still maintain top speeds or even better them.
Each setup has different requirements and discussing these options with BBLADES will "literally" tell you whether 3,4,5,or 6 blade props are the best decision for your personal boating goals. Let us know your set up questions.

I was running a set of 28P 15 5/8 labbed Maximus props to about 100 rpms less than some 32P sharpened (not labbed) bravos. The hole shot might have been a little better but I was always slow to get on plane. Mid range increased about 4 mph and WOT was the same.

I went from 28" bravos to labbed 28" maximus, lost 200 rpm, and gained 3 mph. Thanks to Brett.
