If you fit certain criteria with those factors, more than likely you will improve across the board with 5 blades.
But, you do have to fit that criteria and more than 50% of rigs do not fit the criteria.

Brett

Could you share with us the general criteria that makes a boat shine with 5 blades?

Bigboats, big hp, high X dimentions and slip numbers.

Of course combos of these and other things come into play with a multitude of different applications.

RE,
No, I haven't had a day off from work in 3 weeks!:eekdrop:
As soon as I get some time off, hopefully I'll get to run the props solo.

Dean ring that thing out,get some rpm #'s:drink:

I guess the increase cruz speeds around 5 mph is norm for adding the 5th blade? I'm still unsure about running the 5 blade and what it will do to my top end,I don't really want to loose being able to hit 100 pretty easy with my stock 30 4b,my 32's seem to bog it down and lose acceleration above 4400rpm,I dont mind buzzing the motors.I'm thinking/wondering if the 5 blade will do the same? Also will the 5 blade give it even more stern lift?

Is rounding the ear like that the way they cut down diameter?

Hey Strip, how have you been?
Didn't we do some 5 blades on your boat about 5-6 years ago?

Hey Brett Ive been slowing down some on boating,Yea we talked about the 5blades when you were trying to get your web site up and going.Im not sure if it will help much and the added stress on my outdrives,so far ive been rebuilding them every winter.

Yeah, that would be when we did the second web site. We are releasing the 3rd version in a couple weeks. I can't wait, it's going to be very cool!

Let me know if you want to test some 5 blades. And, yes you will get additional stern lift but the props can be adjusted to help carry the bow as well.
