I've been told my tach is lazy so 4700 is truely more like 4900rpm. But yes, I agree the 25p 4blade is an 1" too big.

Don't think I'll buy another 3 blade; the Mirage works pretty good. I may buy a 4 blade though...

Ran with my 25p Mirage last night. 3 guys, full 55gal fuel tank, cooler of beer, and...
GPS read 69.1 at 4600rpm
Not too bad for this old, probably original to my 1996 boat, Merc Mirage (non-plus) prop.
WTB a 4 blade, probably a Rev 4, but no rush...

Shold be faster. 25 MPlus in same boat hits me over 74. Labbed 27 MPlus got me 75.5.

I've seen 73 with the 25p Mirage running real light. Ended the season running a 25p Rev 4 and she tops out at 72 and the midrange is 3-4mph faster than the 3 blade.
