Actually outward creates more stern lift. You will need to swap the gear cases. from starboard to port.

Hydromotive Q4's will create stern lift more than Rev 4's or Bravo 1's but may not be as efficient. as the other when adjusted to your boat.

There are numerous options. Call us if you like and we can go through the physics of the set up.

i don't see nitrogen making any diff. air is 80% nitro anyway, and oxy is almost same molecular weight as nitrogen. try adding a lil weight to the bow. dump gf for her fat friend and put her up front. she will also be very grateful and provide some more stern lift...

Thank you all for your replies.

Tried a pair of lab finished 22' bravo 1s borrowed from a friend.
There was an improvement on stern lift compared to my 21' Rev 4s in the 3800-4500 rpm range. Strangely the Rev 4s start lifting after 4500, all the way to wot at 6400, very strongly to the extend that the engines start barking after 6000 rpm. This doesn't happen with bravos, but wot has dropped to 5900 - unacceptable.

Top speed rev4s 58/59 kts, bravos 54/55 kts.
Picked up some cruising speed with bravos, though, at 4200. 38 kts vs 36 kts with Rev4s. At the expense of consumption, which is 10% worse with bravos at same rpm or 5% at same speed.

I am contemplating trying a pair of 23' Rev 4s. I don't mind dropping wot to 6200 - still better than 5900 achieved with 22' bravos. Wouldn't the higher pitch help lift the stern any better?

Ps. Agreed dereknkathy, adding weight in the bow will certainly help, but this is my final option for now... Compared to filling the tubes with anything else other than air, which is not even an option.

Hello OSO brothers and Sisters,

Completely off the subject!

Hi guys,

My browser forgot who I am. So looking at this thread, without signing in, caused mucho add's to pop up within the thread posts.

I think this sucks.
I know that OSO needs to sell advertising space but........who will look further to learn from the thread than to get the advertisement out of their face.

For the first time (in a decade) I will say, that's a beginning to the end. I guess I might be over reacting to some opinions because most of you have seen this before but I have not.
I have heard of this but because of my status as a advertiser and member I don't see it with normal day to day activity.

So are you guys seeing adds in my posts? Or am I jus over reacting?

Sincerely,
Brett

Brett
