Default Prop myth or truth?

In a conversation with a friend I was told that a 32p bravo1 is the most efficient right out of the box of the B1 line... any truth to this?

i heard that was the highest pitch, after a32 they start slapping the water instead of cutting and pushing it.

Matt and Julie from Throttle Up used to say Bravo 28....on a regular basis.

And that's all I have to add on that. LOL.

I kinda like the 30's.
The 34 and 36 are the only 2 props that are actually 15.25" diameter as advertised. The 34 was actually our first attempt at a 32 pitch Bravo 1 but was bumped to the 34 cause it was build more true to pitch than the 22-30.
The 28 is actually the smallest diameter of the family clocking in at 14.75-14 7/8. The whole family is about 1 inch lower in pitch than marked.
Even with all their deviations, they have been great performers.

Brett, is there a minimum ventilation plate to prop tip clearance we should stick to, and what is the Ideal clearance?
thanks in advance

I messed up my diameters above. I did edit them however.

Max diameter is aprox. 15.5". .25" is the min. clearance but with thinned props I like a little more.

Interesting, so what is the actual diameter of a 30 and 32 respectively?

offshoredrillin,

These 2 casting come in at 15" diameter.
