The reason I asked this is, I put a drive shower on a B-1 in a Baja 272, first time out I could barely get on plane, kept blowing the prop out, the pickup tube was about 3/4 of an inch below the cavi plate, someone suggested I move it up to about 1/4 inch below, all the problems went away.

Mine would do a total prop blowout at 65mph. Mine had an adjustable height pick up and it slid lower than I had it.So, I thought I blew my coupler first time it happened. LOL.

I just measured the drive shower an it sticks Thur the cavi plate a half inch which the drive shower I have they drilled Thur the cavi plate an it bolts to It..
an I can't even get passed 40 an my prop blows out I've been fighting it sense I got the boat. An I talked to the guy I got the boat from the other day an he said when he got the boat it had a 30p prop on it an he didn't like it so he changed it then after that he said he couldn't get it where he wanted it so he just left the 23p on it an would just cruise around doing 35 an with the 23p prop I'm turn 3500 Rpm
