I’m not as concerned about the top end, but the cruise speed really made it worth it, imo.

For reference I tried a set of P5X’s (labbed) and saw no difference than my Bravos....all props are 32’s.

Hope this info is helpful.

Very helpful! What is the RPM difference between the labbed Bavo 1 32's and the 5 Speed 32.s?
Your midrange results are about the same as when I went from the factory installed Mirage + to the Barvo 1's years ago.

Mark:
5 speeds, with conditions as described I could only spin 5100. Plan is to lab them for another 100-200 rpm. Labbed 32 Bravos, 5400.

I imagine I’ll squeak a couple more mph at WOT., especially if it wasn’t 90 and humid...

However, a buddy tried a set on his 40’ outlaw with 575’s and saw zero improvements across the board.

Limited trial, but I have a stepped hull....the outlaw doesn’t.

Additionally, they carried my hull nicely, and all around provided a nicer ride.

I was more than satisfied as most of the time we run 3500-4000.....

Again, hope this was helpful..

Glad you mentioned the 40 Outlaw since mine is a 36 Outlaw with somewhat the same power level. No steps, deep drive etc.. More than likely not worth it for my application. I will be talking with Brett soon as my Bravo 1's need a bit of refreshing. I will get his thoughts at that point.

Thanks!
Mark

I have customers who have and we have repaired some. As I said earlier, quite mixed reviews. Initially the reviews all stunk. But know more and more the reviews are getting better. I'm sure it is due to more applications are trying them.
What application are you wanting to put them on?

Brett

Kevin-

I've also got an AT 37. Right now I'm running 32 labbed Bravo's with 525's. I just bought the boat, so I cannot comment at all on how the boat handles with the Bravos. The previous owner mostly ran a set of 30 PX5's for the improved hole shot, but lost a few MPH over the Bravos. I believe that he saw 84 +/- with the PX5's and 86-87 with the labbed Bravo's. The original owner of the boat tried a set of 5 blade Herrings and saw 90, but the planning time was terrible.

So what are your actual top end numbers with the 5-speeds, and are yours stock or labbed?
