My current props
the shop said there has been some work done them.
it appears the ear tips look somewhat different and there is almost no cup.
He said it would run around 500 to rework them

Just the Lab work is currently $360 per prop as we are having our winter special. Normally it is $100 more at $460 per propeller.
We sell the Bravo 1 castings at $709 and the list at $900.
No tip cup in your 26 B1's won't help much on a 33OL.
Let us know if we can help in the future.
Brett

Thank you Brett
My B1 26p compared to the stock B1 28p
the blade back edge of 28s have some slight cupping
my 26s seem to be relatively flat an the shape of the blade tips do not look stock.
would you recommend getting my 26p B1s labbed before I jump into a 28p

The rev limiter is set to 5150 on a Mag HO. I routinely spun mine at 5100 all the time for 20 minute runs from the north end of lake lanier to the south end. The 33OL is a 75MPH boat with HO's. My 342 originally ran 72MPH and its the same hull with a swim platform and kitchen = heavier boat.
Bacino, How many hours do you have driving the boat? The reason I ask "how long" is once you understand that you have to trim way up and add a touch of negative trim to really get these numbers. Sounds like you arent totally trimmed out. AND OR, your props are junk. In my case, the dude sold the good props and bought a set of used junk 28's when I boght it and the boat ran like crap. Enter Brett - I got a set of labbed 28's and everything aired out with good bow lift and it was fine.
Go WOT and keep trimming till it starts to blow out. You can limit this with the drive trailer limit switch. Put the tabs perfectly level, mark your indicator and then go slightly past it. Sounds obvious but it took me from 2004-2007 to figure all that out!

Thank you Keith
I only have a short summer on the boat.....had it delivered to Michigan July 3rd. I checked out the basics and ran the boat.
I really didnt take much time to run it out, play with trim and get some solid numbers.
I know the boat will do 68-70mph with 6 people and 1/2 fuel.
Going by what you have just said and reading about Labbed props.....I'm going to have my current 26p Merc Bravo 1s tuned at the prop shop. Spend a half day in the spring getting some real numbers.
