Looking for members input for what size propeller i should purchase for my Formula 271 with 496HO engine with Bravo 1 outdrive. Purchased the boat in October 2024 and have not put in the water yet.

Was there not a prop on it when you bought it??? I would guess a 24" or maybe 26" Bravo 1, assuming it has a 1.5 ratio drive

I was gonna say a 24P bravo 1 would be my guess.

I ran a Hydromotive 24 that came with the boat on purchase. Hydromotive clever had lots of stern lift, ran nice. Had a builder tell me that it ran too flat. Switched to 24 Bravo 1, ran great, came up plane good. 24 had lots of torque at any range, responded outstanding. Ran a 26 Bravo 1, also would top out a little faster but the torque was not there.Also had a 23 Mirage plus, ran good also, but harder to come up on plane. Overall the 271 liked the 24 Bravo 1, 97 271 HP500, 1.5 ratio.
