My 24 outlaw project

I purchased it in Feb or March. It's a 98 and had a 454 mark iv with spun main bearings. The motor was already out. This turned out to be more of a project then I thought. I did not realize the k-planes were installed over the old boat leveler holes with just sealant in them. Then I decided to remove the tank to check the stringers. Stringers and bulheads were good, but I found soft/wet coring. This is where I am now.

Looking good and yes they are always a little bit more of a project than you originally think they are.

Some progress since last year. Ran the motor on a stand, carpet installed, headliner in. Cuddy and cabin walls back in. I'm starting the wiring and rigging now. I have also rebuilt most of the interior over the winter. I will try to post some pics of that also.

I also replaced every nut and bolt on the trailer as well as the bunks, backing plate assembly for the brakes, winch, etc.

LOOKING GOOD!

I know how hard it is to do cabin areas with the deck on the hull. Keep up the good work and let me know if you have any problems locating something.

Looks Great! What are you using to seal the new wood? Was the gelcoat very tough to apply? That is some nice work, it looks brand new. Randy
