OK, so there are some updates. I have created a mold for the top deck then preceded to mis-read the mixing cup ratio bar and destroy the MDF mold with moisture damage. I tried to clean off the resin with spirits and vinegar. the material was already swelling and coming apart from the resin. It was a total loss. I will start a new mold monday. Very frustrating. images at my site.

Trying some unconventional mold material. For the infusion. Getting started with it tomorrow. More pics to follow.

Well, I have updated the build website site. All of the images have descriptions. I have to add some of the new mold that I have made. But the site is much improved. The new system uses website structure and builds my slideshows allowing me to just add photos and new folders are added to the brady bunch type front page as a separate 'window'.

The Coyote has beautiful lines and one of the best profiles in a performance to come along in any era ever!...you started at an impossible beginning, but I give you credit for your
steadfast goal to have her new again.....................back from the dead would be an understatement!!

Congratulations. You have proven to the world that you are a man with real courage in your spirit. What a project, but what a boat you will have in the end.

That boat was one of the fastest of that era. Both the 38 version of that boat, my Top Banana and the very first Cigarette Top Gun showed up at the first USA race of 1979 in California. My boat won and the Top Gun came second ............and it took a whole other season, before that Top Gun could ever finish ahead of the same design you have there.

In the 1980 Bahamas 200 I was leading and the Gun was second when one of my engines started to tighten up and the Cigarette beat me by 30 seconds. That was the first overall win for that Cigarette model ever.

You will be very pleased with your finished product. Please keep all your resto photos as we are building a special section on the HORBA website just for the restos of old race boats and would love to include your work there.

Will do. Its a daunting project. But I just love that hull. I have been trying to get financially creative to get the money in useful chunks. So far so good.
