It may have, the transom is gone! But the stringers are all good so far. The oil in the drives, tranies and the motor looks great, so if it did get any water in it, it did not get into anything.the bilge was full of leaves and other junk so i'm thinking they just abused the boat, possibly left the engine hatch off or something for a while. There was only one hinge on the hatch and the bolts were loose on the other.

Just for $hits and giggles, have you tried taking a buffer to the red gelcoat? I bet with some compound, some polish, she would come back to life!

No Mild thunder I havn't messed with the paint yet but I agree. I hade a few people look at it that have brought gel back to life before and thet think it will come back ok. I'm really hoping so because I would love to keep the original gel coat.

Jeff when you restore a boat you can not add in the 5 cases of beer a day to the cost of the boat!

Sorry guys I havn't done anything on the cig in the last couple of months. Work has been really busy and something happend to the motor in my baja the last time I had it out, so now i'm pulling that motor so I can tear it down. I was taking the baja out for a test run after winter so I could get it up for sale and started loosing oil pressure and power , cut the filter apart and found metal. Plus race season just started so i'll have even less time.

Also the rear seat out of my cig is availabe to whoever wants it, I have a newer one and don't have room for the old one. It would need to be redone but a good base to start with. Free to whoever comes to get it.
