You have the fever bad don't you? That set up looks awesome but I agree the yellow on the carbs has got to go. I have a short pro stock style scoop on my Eliminator that looks good & I don't think they are too expensive through Jegs or Summit racing. Keep the pics & reports coming. Randy

It's a sickness I've had since I was a kid. Before I had a drivers license I was pulling 5 hp Briggs motors off my go carts and putting dirt bike motors on them, 1000 hp street cars, 7 second street bikes etc. I can't help myself.
The main goal I had for this boat was a fast cruise, sound good and look impressive when I open the hatch. Mission accomplished...in my opinion anyway. Since I was a kid I've always been impressed by big roots blower setups with spacers and chillers. I remember going to car shows as a kid and there was a guy who's blower setup was taller then the roof of his car from so many spacers. I'm sure it wasn't necessary or even functional but it looked awesome.
Now it's time to baby the bravo 1. Only thing I have going for me is I don't have plans to take it wot for any periods of time because it was fast enough with the smaller blower.

I think the thing that got me about offshore boats is that they are built to use horsepower for extended periods of time. Meaning you don't " live your life 10 seconds at a time" you can go out and use all of the power that you build into an engine. It definitely takes skill, good sense, & preferably training to do it but what a rush to just hammer down & hear that blower scream!! Have fun & keep us informed. Randy

Pretty much...lol. Or when I'm cruising with my friends I will be turning 2400 to run 45mph. Now your getting a glimpse of how my mind works. It's all about gas mileage. If I build big power I don't have to turn many rpms to cruise with our friends in turn I get good gas mileage. This basically wraps up the conversation I have with my wife explaining why I'm doing all this.

Gas mileage in a boat, at 4 bucks a gallon that is something to go after these days. You would think increasing power would lower mileage but turning lower rpms for the same speed balances things out I'm thinking every boat should come with a blower engine at a no cost option cause it saves fuel. LOL. How about some video of your new set up when you get it on the water? This thread is way better than mine I'm gonna hang out here for a while!! Randy
