That IMP310 Is somewhat local to me I wish I could Pick it up and build something nice for the Chesapeake. Maybe not with Viper Motors haha but My 25.5 cuts it nice but who can say no to twins! Maybe id go nuts and run 2 Cummins instead?

I couldn’t decide what rub rail to choose so I decided to make the boat seamless instead.

Looks Great,
I am thinking of removing the rub rail on my boat which I am currently doing side hull fiberglass repair. What steps did you take to prevent the seam from flexing and opening up the seam while crashing waves? Did you leave or remove the screws attaching the top deck to bottom hull before fiber glassing them together?
Thanks

Thank you for your kind comments. To keep the boat in one piece we’ve laminated the inside of the hull before we made any changes on the outside. :)

Not so much that’s it worth a real update ;) Mostly been working on some of the parts and pre-manufacturing of brackets and stuff to the engine compartment and also some brackets and stuff for the engine itself :)

I love the photos of this build and what you've done with it. I'm currently putting new motors in my 89 310. I love these boats and how they ride. Keep up the great work!

Thanks a lot for the nice comments :)

It would be great if you would/want to start a thread about your IMP :) It would be awesome to see some pics of other 310s because I think I am the only 310 owner in Sweden. So i havent seen that many before mine :)

KRAUSMOTORSPORTS 02-20-2014 07:38 AM

Thanks, I promise that I will post a lot of startup and (hopefully) driving videos :)

I havent had that much time to work on the boat lately due to a massive workload on the customers boats :) But soon I will post some new pictures from the engine works we are doing for the moment :)

Waooo amassing job sir. Can't wait to see the final product. I own a 1989 imp viper and I'm in the progress of rebuilding the console really like what u did to urs. I also been trying and looking everywhere to find a wing screen and no luck. Any idea where I can find parts for the imp boat.

I have no idea where to get parts for IMP:s. Most of myr parts are manufactured by us on my company, some local company or friends with good skills ;)

Indeed with his shop think of all the chit you could not only dream up but impliment and the brain damage that goes along with those lofty thought's...I like the tip's i presume will they be fully displayed..it could be dramatic look and sound...that is how are you going to work with a v-10 sound for myself about as bad as a v6????

It will definitly be a sound on its own. Still overly impressed with this build.

The sound will be different because I didnt want that original sound on idle, that sounds a bit like fishingboat "blub blub blub blub". ;)
If you only have one exhaust to ten cylinders instead it will sound a bit more aggressive :)

Pliant 03-08-2015 01:47 PM

That a intresting direction and if the below vid clip is the charactrer of the sound well like a big block leman's type of sound...Should be impressive maybe a tad bit louder and more energy..:D

Also just had a thought. I live so close to the water that I can hear every now and then someone blasting down the creek. And wishing I was out there but also I could always tell when I heard twins as I'm sure at least hopefully all of us know. But this Set of twins will sound awesome hearing it from far away. And I bet many wouldn't have a clue to what the hell it is.

Haven’t happened so much here due to building myself a new home and also been a huge amount of work on our marina. But now I am done with my house and have employed a service manager that probably can take some of my workload. So we have started with the finishing of the engines and we have finally come to a conclusion on which fuel system to use. The choice fell on a Swedish company that have developed a great fuel management system called MaxEcu.
We have also started to look at the modifying/rebuild of the heads and camshafts etc.
The build has been in hyper sleep for a while but now I am settled to finish it.
A little pic 😊

oh man! Looking sweet! Glad you posted. I can now update everyone I’ve been telling about this build! Ragman, if you are on Facebook I created a IMP/Viper Page. Would love to share this project with the group. Really glad to see your back on it and had a plan all along.
