IMP 310 Rebuild/modification
 

I thought that I would share a little project of mine (That became bigger) a rebuild/modification of an old IMP310.
The boat is a -89 310-Eleganza with busted engines which I bought from a customer.

Almost all of the mess caused by the broken engines cleaned up here.

From the beginning I was only going to change the engines and fix some of the interior.
But one thing led to another and later on during the project everything went a little out of hands.

Made som templates for new instrumentation.

Here we have laminated the stern to make room for Bravo transom instead of the previous TRS.

We also removed the skyport and laminated with Divinycell.

Mounted some scoops from Eddie Marine

Removed all of the bolts from the inside of the windscreen and laminated it instead :)

Made some adjustments to make the engine hatch fit better

I couldn’t decide what rub rail to choose so I decided to make the boat seamless instead.

The engines arrived after a long wait and we started to make a template for the adapter to make the Viper engines work with Mercury transom.

My best friend had a 91 31 IMP he purchased new. These hulls give an amazing rough water ride. Project is awesome. Good luck!

Thank You :) The bolsters are made with Alcantara so it will work fine with water. The only downside is that when it rains they get soaked :) But i have also a set of custom made vinyl covers for when it’s really bad weather :)

We couldn’t find any vents that looked good so we made our own with some help from a good friend of mine Jon Palmqvist who designed them.

I had some problems with the measurements from the blueprint for the headers. It wasn’t exactly the same when we finally received the headers :)

So the easiest way to make it work was to modify the heads exhaust ports. :)
