certainly, appearance type cf is easy to work and drills /cuts a lot like fiberglass. the twill weave fabrics generally used in parts that require "the look" are non structural and if used just at the surface wont really affect how it cuts. keep in mind hybrid fabrics, the ones that are red, yellow, green, blue etc with black are kevlar and those can be difficult to cut.

we drill and route fiberglass laminate all day long,, making printed circuit boards. the drilling is thru thin copper clad (0.0007" to 0.0014") thick.copper and then laminated fiberglass that is much thicker
