Really impressive both the craftsmanship and the motor. Any idea on the HP? Any concern with the drive handling the power? Congratulations!!

Thanks!,
Since the drive is only alpha 1 I do have a big concern about the durability....the engine was from -98 corvette where the it made 615hp....and now it has bigger intercooler and almost non existing air filter so boost level might be increased from the 8-9psi what it had in a car...

Alpha 1 is only going to be used this summer and next winter the drive will be changed...the most common and easy option is bravo 1....I have already reserved one from 33ft scarab so that might be the way to go....I have also thought about alpha SS and blackhawk drive...but those are pretty hard to find.

So with alpha 1....I'm going to baby it to plane and NO jumping...it should hold for the summer since the boat is relatively small...

Sweet! Good to see another ls build. What great ratio drive are you gonna use? My ls project should be finished this week. I think we both will be very happy.!

The drive is normal small block unit so 1.5 ratio.

I'm having a little issue with the closed cooling system...the engine seems to overheat if I have thermostat in place...without it it keeps the temps 170-180 range in idle...but with it the temps rise to 240....and heat exchanger is still cold. It could just be a bad thermostat...even though it does open if I put it in boiling water.....weird...
