You must be a great throttle man, hard to believe the alpha SS would hold up under 600 hp per side....I have seen 400 hp small blocks on a old A class boat called Kens Oil which was a great runner in the Great Lakes region. Well, they must be pretty tough and I guess the bravo took over so they quit with the alpha SS.
I got to say I got a new Old school B class favorite, YOURS!
Great pics

Thanks !

She is a great boat and getting the power into the water is the trick. In my time with the SS's the trick is getting over 3500 rpm. The TQ is what will "KILL" the drive. But that is true for all drives.I have found NO fast starts. But the SS is way beyond her limit with this power, I was just lucky or good ?

The speed was the RPM at wot, 7200. Went through a lot of springs. But the little drive seamed ok with that.

I would love to see what the drives look like on the transom w the Y pipes out the back. I found an old powerboat magazine when your boat had blue stripes....it has the 4 exhaust out the back. I got to say of all the looks I've seen of the boat, canopy front/back, triple bolster and the 2 plus 1 seat in back, I like the shot you posted of the boat getting air, I like the triple the best with the newer purple, turquoise, Checker paint.
Pretty unique....and cool!

Sorry, no up dates. Still trying to work out the "Do I need to do this" thing ?

Also had a guy call and would like to buy the drives ? Don't think I want to reinvent the wheel again with some kind of short Bravo, but ?

I got a little distracted with my rally car also.
