Im looking to have the interior redone my 1992 Fountain 32 fever, and would like to see some suggestions on what would look good. I plan to keep the original patterns (to hopefully save on cost).
But, Id like to possibly add/change the existing colors and/or add some alcantara or similar. Im hoping this allows for a newer looking interior, building on the existing design. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do so, what would look good (in your opinion of course) and what you've seen/done? Its times like these I wish I was good with photoshop! I don't want to go crazy with color but possibly add some darker colors to break up the sea of white.
I will try to get some pictures of my interior posted asap. Thanks all!

I just did the helm area of my boat couple of months ago. Stayed with a basic Fountain design with a few tweaks to streamline the look. Went with 3 colours to keep things relatively simple and timeless. I used a higher end vinyl with texture (don't know how to describe it, somewhere between herring bone and the cross hatching of carbon fibre look). I playing on white silver and a dark grey that matches the hull accents, keeping the darker colours low working to lighter higher up. The only regret I think I might have is not having the stitching in red to tie into the hull somewhat. The premise was to break up the sea of red the hull is.
Next off season will be my cabin. I'll use the same vinyls and colours through the cabin, but with much less white. The silver will be the primary colour with the dark grey on the high traffic areas. No sun in the cabin...colours can go darker with little risk of burning flesh. Since my cabin is torn apart and not all pieces are there or are not in useable condition, I may try and find an updated cabin and re-do that vinyl. I far prefer the newer style versus my 1990 design. Some things will need to be updated, such as amenities (sink, head) and lighting...but for the most part staying with the Fountain basics.
For whatever little help this info is worth...my thoughts on my upcoming project next off season. The thread on my boat's progress is a few threads below this one.
