Hey Dave - I saw your setup to plug the sending unit hole on that tank to pressure test. I'll show you what I did on mine, it's a little easier. If I have a spare, I'll give you one. I used a rubber plug that has a threaded rod thru the center, and then used (#8s ?) screws with o-rings to plug the holes. That way, you dont have to make a plate for each sending unit hole. It's pretty universal. Only issue would be if the large center hole was a different size, as the plug has a certain range.
Look at sending unit hole, upper left in pic. It worked out well. man those tanks swell when you pressure test them. That's 6,000 pounds of force on the top panel!!! Think about it.
