I also was thinking ply would be better. The builder is the one that wants to use the composite board. He was the production manager I think for statement boats and knows his stuff. My decision to use him is because of the boats I’ve seen him build from molds. Top notch work.
when I last talked to him though I was going to use twins. With the trips he might want ply now. He has another old scarab in the shop now doing a twin outboard conversion. I will see how his comes out.
