Default Fuel Pump Wiring

Getting ready to wrap up and install my 575sci hybrid I built, and as part of the build I went with Young Marines injection fuel plate for the 575 and will be eliminating the mechanical fuel pump and cool fuel set up, and running a Weldon fuel pump with a return to the tank from the regulator. My question is when installing an aftermarket fuel pump should I wire the pump into the existing engine harness wiring for the fuel pump? Generally if I would do this in the automotive world I would install a relay with ~10ga wire to ensure the pump was always seeing 12v. LMK what everyone does in marine land.

High level Set up:

Tank -> 100 micron filter -> fuel pump -> fuel filter water separator -> duel feed to injection plate -> regulator -> return to tank.

When I did my 575, I used the factory wiring with no issues. the factory wiring has a relay. I also used a weldon pump. I mounted my fuel pump to the front side of the offshore engine mount. Worked out nice.
