Im glad to see another 250 being restored. My 78 was just like you decribe. Very crappy construction. Lots of exposed linber holes, all actually, the only solid wood in the whole thing was foward of the cabin bulkhead and up high... Mines going back together as a center console fishing boat with 3 piece construction and a single remote mounted SBC, so not the kind of rebuild that would be very appreciated on this site, but I have been picking up most of my parts for the conversion from the classifieds here.

Create a separate thread and post your progress. Everyone here loves to see these classics restored/modified and preserved.

I would definitely be interested in seeing some pictures or your project!

It's finally starting to warm up here in michigan so I have pulled out my mocked up stringer grid, gas tank, and transom assemblies all back off in preparation of glassing everything in. I have somewhat convinced myself that the boat will not see the water this summer, and that has led me down the path of wanting to LS swap now.

If I were to start a new thread, I'd then feel obligated to maintain updates in two places which I'm not prepared to commit to. Being that cross posting is generally frowned upon, I'll PM you a link, just in case you see something in there that's helpful to you.

Nice work.
