Me neither, we are gonna tweak props once more but it seems to have hit a wall. I spoke to Doug and he said just at 100 or just shy is normal for 28s. I have not heard any really running faster if so someone please share. 5400 RPM with 36s The math says it should GPS says no. Hydrodynamics I guess.

What was setup, single twins, what motors, and what is well north. Mine I guess ran like 106 new with 2200 HP.

I would also think a #5 would pull a lot of power compared to a Bravo style.

i do know the X dimension was high, only limited by the transom assembly hitting the rub rail.

X Dimensions will look higher yet because a 5 is just big. I sent you a PM.

Smart move listing it on OSO. I remember when your boat was for sale back in 2009 or 2010. I waited so long to pull the trigger and when I did someone had just bought. I kicked myself for not buying it and then bought my 28 Apache. Sold it and waited for years for another single engine 28 Saber to come up and it never did until now roughly 2 years after I bought my Saber. I do prefer the twins, but did not realize so much was different than my 1989 28 Saber. The engine hatch and bilge is like a solid 1 1/2ft longer, which makes for a shorter cockpit as well and the chines on the newer models are like 2-3 times as wide so mine doesn't handle quite the same. The bilge floor/hull of mine appears sturdier and thicker; just walking around in the bilge you can tell a noticeable difference; there is no give.. I read the 2013-2014 build thread and saw where Doug said he was using 3/4 inch of balsa in the hull of the 28's and using 1 in balsa coring in the hull of the 41's. I think they may of used 1 in balsa coring on mine as the first twin engine 28.

I had someone contact me on Friday about taking a look at my 28' Saber. Long story short he was actually the second owner of this exact boat! It must have been reupholstered at some point because he said the colors were different. He was actually schooling me on details of the boat which I found interesting. He took it out and is very interested, but no deposit. He went home and found a copy of the title he had and the VIN's matched. Small world!

Do you still have the smaller Blowers you took off your motors?
