The ride of your life. Hang on.
NK

Dan Adams 07-02-2008 06:58 AM

Thanks NK,
It seems like they just keep dragging their feet on this deal. Supposed to close this week. I'm ready.
Once it's said an done, maybe you could give me some real time instruction on how to run the beast.
Dan

Nauti Kitty 07-02-2008 07:17 AM

LEOPAJM 07-15-2008 09:51 AM

Dan Adams 07-15-2008 10:24 AM

I just called them. It was in court yesterday, the Judge wanted another document, it was sent and will be in court again today....sales dude says "hope to close today".....ya, me too.
One of the drives fell off the fountain on the last leg of Boyne.

Ouch! Heard the water was pretty rough during the run.

Hope things are finalized today. Crazy how they keep delaying and delaying the release of the boat.

TexomaPowerboater 07-15-2008 04:09 PM

No way, on an 07 fountain??? Thats crazy, I guess you have every reason to get into a 41 Saber.

littledcsrodshop 07-15-2008 07:51 PM

Dan , Sorry to hear about the trouble with your fountain.. Thats gotta suck !! I take it nobody got hurt ?
I will be glad to hear when your deal finally closes & you are towing home.

Dan Adams 07-16-2008 06:46 AM

Hey guys. Boyne was great, we had a lot of really hard running in before it broke. I think the U joint broke and took out the bell. Gimbal ring still intached but very beat. Should be repaired by next week.

Well, no Saber on Tuesday. They should drag it out til next spring...free storage.

Here are some photos of the interior Craig did for me in my Old Challenger. This interior would look Hot in those Sabers. The photos are not terrific, but its all the carbon fiber style vinyl. MR

Very nice !

If Dan gets WW .... we are going to look at doing something with these "Amish" interiors we've got in the sabers .

Dan Adams 07-23-2008 06:01 PM

JM, IF ?? Do you know something I don't? I called the broker today, they said something about contract difficulties in court.

Nope ..... don't know a thing ??? Hope it comes together for ya !

littledcsrodshop 07-24-2008 12:07 PM

Dan , I know your patience has got to wearing a bit thin.. Hang in there buddy !!

Dan Adams 07-25-2008 08:13 AM

Thanks JM, Scott. I think it will be a long haul.

LEOPAJM 08-04-2008 01:00 PM

Whats the latest Dan ?

Is the boat back at Saber now ?

Doesn't make any sense ... but thats what I heard .......

Dan Adams 08-04-2008 01:23 PM

I did not know that. Last I knew they moved the boat from North Shore sales in Spring lake out to North Shore Marina. I have not checked on it for over a week now. I am completely in the dark. The salesman says "waiting for a signature, but someones on vacation". It's seems like someone does not want it sold.

Hey JM, on a brighter note, I'm headed down to Putin Bay Aug. 15 for the weekend. Several boats heading down, should be lots of fun.

Have you thought to call the Clerk of the Court? or the Judge's office to find out for yourself? There's nothing wrong with the direct approach, you're the resolution to a pending case, why rely on the representation of others?

LEOPAJM 08-07-2008 08:33 AM

Well ..... the boat is not at Saber ( i didn't think so ) and , unfortunately , from what i am hearing ... there is more then one lien on the boat .... getting a clear title at this point may be tough !?!??!!?!?

LEOPAJM 08-13-2008 12:22 PM

Any thing new Dan ? I heard from a pretty reliable source today that there are 3 banks with an "interest" in this thing ... Yikes !!!! How does the judge go about determining "who" has the right to sell it ??????

Dan Adams 08-13-2008 12:56 PM

Hey JM, I think we're getting closer. Got a call Friday, they said closing Monday. Monday one small issue the lawyers agreed upon but needed to change. Now, contract an title to be couriered to GH Wednesday to close Thursday. We'll see, I'm beyond being in a hurry anymore, being patient.

Hey maybe we'll see you this weekend, Blue Moon, the Fountain, a red 28 Saber from the east side and some others I don't know will be in your neck of the woods this weekend. I'll give you a call.

LEOPAJM 08-13-2008 01:27 PM

Sounds good Dan .

Wesseldyk is way more than qualified....

Steve, I know and can relate with the grief you have been through lately with your own stuff as I have been through a lot with my own stuff as well in years past. I also know you are well liked and respected---not trying to step on your toes or anyone elses here or take anything away from Chief Engines----and I am sure my response may be a moot point at this time as I have just read this, but Dave Wesseldyk of WESCO is WAY more than qualified to build/rebuild those engines! If you have ever stepped into Dave's shop I'm sure you'd come away with a different perspective. You guys and the rest of the offshore hi-perf boating community have one of the best engine builders right here in your own back yard...western Michigan!

You also might find it interesting to know that when Alez Vite had that explosion accident back in the 90's who/what engine builder all these high dollar attorney's hired as a proffesional witness for the court/law case that cost millions. Not that being a proffesional witness automatically qualifies somebody or anyone to build high dollar mega displacement offshore marine engines, but it might be worth some merit in thought. And that was years ago!

It is probably Dave's fault for not advertising and people must not think he must be very good if he doesn't have some big advertisement listed somewhere. He only gets his business based on his reputation with Offshore hi-perf engines. Go visit his shop----although the stuff he works on and builds may look very intimidating, Dave is a very calm, low key, no hype guy. He's just a 50 year old farm country boy.

And just because he built my teeny weeny 565cid engines doesn't mean he isn't qualified---you should see some of the stuff sitting on the shelves in his shop. He's always building offshore marine supercharged stuff in the 600+cid range and he is reasonably priced compared to some of these other big named highly marketed builders.

Oh, I forgot---he just put up a website, but that is about the extent of his advertisements. www.wescoracingengines.com

Just trying to give you guys a "heads up" and help out my neighborhood offshore brothers here. :)
