the gen 3s in a 5'' d is the hot set up, cmi's are nice looking but another friend of mine has water coming in the block. he thinks welds that are inside are leaking 2 yrs ago it was outside leak. I am looking at tractor headers cause what ever hull I buy I NEED TO DO THE MOTOR COVER OVER with a SCOOP to get the air in the motor. we did one on the baja if you go to the baja site I have listed at the bottom pics of my boat 1 and 2 might be on second page. I made it out of decolite with a pro stock scoop. my headers now are border line 4'' gen 2s dry. very loud being in fresh water cmi or stellings should be fine. if I could put a muffler on the tractors I would buy them ina minute cause the wife would have to ware my racing helmut with intercom.

I would go with KE's or gen 3 manifolds. I have a 3" rise Imco extension box you might be interested in. If the Saber doesn't sell soon I'll be putting it on. If the boat sells it will be available.

Pretty simple job if you've done some glasswork before. That's funny you say add some silver to the graphics because thats exactly what the painter and I where talking about doing. The trailer is a 2004 Nextrail and in great condition. You need to come take a look...it won't disapoint. It may be a little older but you got to remember these boats were being built then with materials that are considered the standard today. Not saying they were ahead of their time but no expense or workmanship was spared. You won't find a single stress crack or wet spot anywhere. This hull is solid and built tough as hell.....
to plug it right you need to cut way back on a angle layer it in also would do the exhaust over since theres 2 sets of holes. we did it just fill it in last yr on a boat looked good all summer and this year all the exhaust rings showed, we didn't cut them back cause it has a multi colored paint job so we just plugged and filled holes. but the others Iam looking at need the same thing except the new hulls and the used joker. when I bought my last boat it took a while I was looking at baja24 sutphen 26 and the saber 28 without power back in 90. my buds family owned a baja dealership so after 2 months going back and forth to see what made sense. if I new what I know now it would of been the saber or sutphen. my baja I have rode hard but reinforced the balsa deck and bulkheads. and it kicked a lot of azz in the 1990s. I had passed up a 87 35 cafe racer that another local bud bought this summer it needed one of the 540s rebuilt and lil chit he got it for under 20,000, I told my bud you never said it was that low, I said I wanted to stick to a single since I had the drive and blower motor already and everyone thinks I am nuts to put it in my baja. so anyways if your hulls will run 70 with 500 hp, I think mid 90s would be about right a 100 would be great. I figured my baja would run 108 plus comparing it to 3 other baja 24ols that ran 98 to 113 with power from 900 to 1300hp. the sutphen 30 would be mid or high 90s with 1050 to 1100 hp. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE PICS BACK SEAT I wil PM you tomorrow some time, I reread your IDEA about black sides to then maybe add silver and red to that. I love red. oh if you sit down do your knees hit infront cause I need to sit with my knees I am 2'' short at 5 10 to your 6 ft. is there room to cut out and put foot pads like the joker hull. I wished you had gone with the ppi seats but I can make chit happen. I bought new red seats for my baja that grab your sides as you sit. I figure I will put my old ones back inthe boat when I sell it next summer. well was watching the ball game so if this post is screwy its the few beers on a good note the pats won sox who knows. I'll will pm the email later. great thread.

I can get you more pics. No my knees don't touch...plenty of room. Plenty of room for foot pads also. The bolsters padding was also redone when I had the vinyl done so the are very comfortable. They are also electric dropouts...which are great.

jdub so with the shortie you were at 65gps or was that with regular drive?? thanks oh your seats look like they came from the co out in calf that built mine a few yrs back. my model name was Racine with custom in out extra padding on the insides like the ppi seats and mine have a full ss frame with 10 bolt holes on each side of the base so there free standing are yours or are they hooked to the gunnel. thanks
