I was humbled once again when I suddenly came to the realization that I couldn't stay on top of the world for forever so I came back down & payed my $24.95 so I could at least associate my name with gold..

I will try to get a couple shots & post them here in the next couple weeks.. I will be out of comission for while due to some sinus surgury I had early this morning.. Needless to say I will be doing a good bit of OSO surfing..
Tell Russ I said hey & that I was asking about his fairng & to send me a few pics if he has any.. I take it you are going back red on the bottom ? What are you putting on it ?? I know Russ is a painter ,but if you guys have any questions feel free to shoot away & I will do my best

Red....no no no. Black man! Black transom, bottom and dash. Russ did a great job. He is very good. He layed it out like glass. As far as paint goes I made him use some old junk industrial Imron I had for the bottom. Chit is tough as nails. But for the dash and transom Russ gets to pick what he wants to use. Should have the rest done by next week.

looking good !! I agree the old Imrom is tuff stuff & in my opinion for paint its probably the toughest out there (as long as its the old stuff)
Thought you guys may get real tuff & shoot Gel on the bottom..
I did the bottom of a 20' bass boat a couple weeks ago in black gel & it was no fun to say the least..
I am sure its probably been mentioned somewhere already but what are going with for power ? Are you rebuilding , or going back with the same power ?

New gel would have been great. Without flipping the boat over I don't think I would even attemp it!
For power....what do you think your the only one with something up their sleeve?
Nah just kidding the Hp500 will be going back in for a baseline this year. I did pick up a XR and HP gimble though. After I see how she runs/handles with the current power I will then make changes. I was keeping my eye out for a 12" box w/3" rise but haven't seen one yet. That will most likely be next winter's project.
