Its been kind of quiet around here, whats going on everyone? I have finally got most of my spring stuff done, wheeled and waxed the old girl up the last couple evenings, just need to clean the inside and I will be ready to splash. Weather is finally starting to shape up too, really got the bug bad now. Will be out on Memorial weekend if not before. How's everyone else coming along? Looking forward to the run, just need to finalize a few things and we should be looking good. If possible I need an updated head count for Friday and Saturday to make some reservations, so everyone let me know and I will firm everything up. This is going to be fun!

My boat project has been put on hold until i can get through my spring season. I haven't had any spare time. Maybe this is a sign of something positive happening with the economy. Im also moving back to the kawkawlin river soon, so I have to get the house ready to sell and get all my stuff packed. It will be nice to have the my boat in front of the house.

A current count for friday is 7
count for saturday is 11

what cam and carb? I picked up a few on my ol 24 going from a 850BG to a 1050 nickerson and a shortie drive bringing my propshaft to 5 or 5 1/2'', it was back in 06. boat went from 76 to 83 without a prop change just picked up a lot of rpms.

It would be great if you can make it. I think its around 12-13 hours for me to Boston, drove it once years ago. Grand Haven is probably an hour further than I am, so probably 14-15 hours dragging a trailer. That is going thru Canada, its longer going the 80/90 route.

wow so going 80 or /90 is longer. I thought maybe 80 would be. wish I went 90 when I went last yr. but I just lost another week trying to stuff the gas tank behind the seat. I dropped it off for the 3rd time gave in on trying to get the max gas. old tank was 80gals 1st new was 100, second time 88, now looks like 78. I made a wooden frame to take apart and adjust so its 2 1/2'' off on 2 sides. tank better fit. I just hope I can have it back by next week the latest. had to relocate fuel vent it looks so there paint and extra glass work. but will still shoot for end of june testing. and pray the 5 blades work well with the high x. going to try and get picks up on 101 this weekend. I wish I looked in to saddle tanks on the side like 70gal each. now I am looking at adding a floor tank or under the seat tank or smaller saddles. I want to run some of the long races, like miami to the island and back race or around Long island race chit I would be stopping 3 or 4 times for gas. but right now this tank will do and hope to get at least 2 hours running or 120 to 150 miles for trips up here to the local islands. ones 60miles round trip another is 100 to 120 round trip. I just got to git err done. Art

cam is a isky gring 234 244 610 lift 114 sep and the carb is a bigs performance 1050 ez hopefully this makes the boat idle alot better hated the way it ran last year, i should say hated it below 4000 rpm above that it was awsome but its not a drag boat and it needs to idle

I was just about to recommend Crosswinds to you guys when I read this post. They have an outdoors Tiki-Bar that is nice, but they really need to know that you're coming ahead of time to line up staffing. Last year, if you went to the restaurant/bar, a free slip was offered at the Crosswinds Marina. I don't think anyone cares about noise in Whitehall either!

Have lots of fun you guys!
