I would go either twin outboards , or single merc 600 sci / illmor 725 to keep cost down versus twin screws on a 28ft spec. boat , your speed would still up there .

There are a few different ways to go with small-blocks. Merc has a 383 "stroker" package available, rated at 350 HP with EFI, and can be had with a 3 year factory warrentee. A pair of those would make a sweet, no-fuss package. Give me a call @ (616) 837-6666 and I would be happy to give a quote.

Any thoughts on some Twin Turbo Small blocks?
Fuel injected etc.

Low compression, great on fuel, and great power
when the sticks are leaned on?

Twin turbo SBC, Wow!! Tons of potential there, just not aware of a sorted out marine package that I would turn over to a customer, and I don't want to be the guinea pig.

Earhart Engineering!, Tom has built the small blocks too.

Big Block has been a wonderful piece!

I know he's been playing with some v-6's; I'm not familiar with his sbc package, but all his stuff is nice.
