I have scarab 38 but the hin reads SQE101010184 does anyone know what it is. i have pics of it from the ofshore race in boston ma. in 1986 the name of the boat was heatwave and it had a big #12 on the side. any help would be great

Your Boat is a Classic flat deck Scarab built by Team Scarab in Southern Calif.
It was built before I started with them in 87.
Warren is still around but is hard to contact.
Theres a story in the July issue of powerboat that you
might read about SCARAB you might write them.

Mike J: Having been there in the late 80's, can you tell me anything about a 26' Center Console that (from your posts) appears to have been built there in 1988. The boat has a HIN of SQE101320188, and from the info above looks like it came from Scarab Performance Craft. It looks like a custom job and rides like a dream with a Gil bracket and a 225 Yamaha on the back. Was this company acquired by Wellcraft, or did they just take the name??

I'm looking at purchasing this boat. They say it's a 1991 Wellcraft Magna, but I don't think Magna is the right model. I know this might be a little off topic, but any ideas as to what it is? Thanks.
