Pricing Difference
28 Scarab Excell single BBC 88-89
29 Scarab single BBC 94-96
as far as i can tell excell in pristine condition goes for about 25,000
94-96 29 scarab goes for 35000 to 40000 depending on condition
i know i have seen excell's cheaper but not great condition and i have seen the 29 go for more is it really worth the extra coin to go to the 29
All comments greatly appreciated.

Re: Pricing Difference
There 2 complete different animals.
The 28 excel does not have the freeboard a 29 does.
The hull design is completely different. The 29 is a more solid ride and doesn't beat you up like a 28 would due to the bottom design. I know, I have ridden in both and own a 29.
The cabin height is higher, with more room.
I would say if possible, ride in both of them. I know the dry weight of a 29 is 5500lbs.
I'm sure you will get somemore input on this from the other guys. Godd luck with your research.

Re: Pricing Difference
Here are some links for the boats. The excel is my first boat and it has been a good boat. I would prefer a wider beam next time, which will probably put the length over 30'
