Sorry for the delay in posting

Yes we did. It was only our second time out with the new motor. Unfortunately the week before at the NYC Poker Run I blew my max machine worx upper unit before we ever got to see what she could do. At the pirates run I was running my spare bravo upper and 26 B1 prop I ran last year. To be safe I never ran over 4500 rpm. We didn’t want to blow another drive and ruin our weekend.

We might have not been at the front of the pack but we sure had a great time and will be back next year.

That doesn't sound good not making boost at 5000 rpms. I would think you would be making tons of boost at that RPM.

I've got s Labbed 28 and stock 32. Sounds like you need a road trip to Lake Ontario.

With only pushing a 26p prop there isnt much load on the motor. Not enough to build boost. This wasnt a bad thing for the initial break in on the motor.

with the 28 five blade we seen boost up around 4-5 psi at 5000 rpm . The motor was set up to run 7 psi @ 5600 @ 820 Hp

I don't see or hear about the 28' Excel very often. Was it a low production number boat or what?

Your boat looks great, I'm glad to see that there are 28 excel projects out there like yours. I'm the proud owner of a 89 28 excel, procharged 468.
