Ok...
I need to get another set for the starboard side as it got nicked up a bit at the marina.I will go by the sign company next week who made mine. They are already on the shops computer and I'll just ask him to cut me two new graphics. I do need to let you know however that the "Scarab SCS" decal is 8 feet long that they have on their computer. This is the decal thats on the bow of the boat.I used it for the sides as well as I felt the original size decal was too small.I like it better because you can see the SCARAB SCS a mile away. You can make the decision of what size decal works for you.If you don't like the 8 foot decal you can take it to your locale sign shop and have it scanned down to the original size.As for the 8 foot decal, you can use that for the bow as that is the original size. |

Don,
I'll send 3 out next week. All I ask is to be reimbursed for the decals and mailing fee.A bonus is really not necessary. It might be a good idea to have one of the decals scanned for future use as they do get nicked up at the marina and mooring up with others.I'll send pics this weekend. Now....tell us about your boat,I.E.where did you find it,what kind of power, etc. |

Bought mine last january in Cadillac,Mi.Do you know where that is?Been on lake Michigan all it's life and I'm the second owner.
The boat was repowered summer of 2005 with a brand new, left over 1998 502mag mpi and brand new Bravo xr drive.40 hours on engine.I agree I think my boat looks better with the decal on the bow. |

Hey guys there is an Orange SCS on ebay !!!!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/scara...spagenameZWDVW |
You know this may be a chance for someone that wants an Orange SCS to pick one up for less money. The add is written bad . He does not even say it is an SCS in the title ...Someone from the forum needs to get it .... only 2 hours from me here
|
Yea I dont think I have seen an orange one for sale since I got my boat:cool:
|
Is it just me or does that boat look like it's been neglected?
Check out the air cleaner...is that any indication of how he took care of the boat. I cant beleive there are no bids at this point. That boat could be a diamond in the rough. |

Hello ... I have one of those projects myself :-) http://www.waynefountain.net/01-05%20010sm.JPG |
Awesome to see so many SCS owners on here. I think we need our own sub forum.
These are special boats, amazing that nobody has splashed the hull . . . Anyways, I've got big plans for mine, needs tabs, and want to replace all the plastic carbon fiber look stuff with the genuine article. . . Lots of fun. Missed using it this weekend, can't wait until next weekend, the weather and water up here in September is perfection. |
I think there are 5 SCS owners here.Have you noticed not one SCS owner has said one negative thing about this boat so far?The reason is Wellcraft did a great job in the design and manufacturing of this boat and is an A+++++ boat in my opinion.
Rob...what does splashing the hull mean? Steve |
I would like to get a flamed, billet aluminum steering wheel for my boat.Does anyone know who I could call to get one?
I think it would look awesome in this boat. |
Splashing the hull means you make a mold from an existing boat, and then start selling it as your own.
Try Billet Specialties for the billet flames, I've seen what you are talking about before - you just need to do some digging. It's out there. My only complaint with the boat is that I wish the deck was a bit more rigid. Take a big wave hard and you can see some deck flexing. Anyone else notice this? Georgian Bay is often rough, so you guys running in smooth water may not have ever noticed this. |
Im sure someone is looking for an scs

Cant believe no bids yet ...
Someone has esnipe ready for that I hope .. Would be a good deal. |
Im already on it ;)
|
How ya been man .. Hey I can run over to that area and inspect it for ya !

I've already been in 4 footers. That's about the limit for the boat I think, it starts getting uncomfortable.
You can make an excellent mold doing that - it happens A LOT with all the westcoast boat builders. You're basically just using an existing hull as the plug. |
4 footer huh....I cant even imagine a 26 or 28 foot boat would take those very comfortably.
On our lake,on a very busy day we will have good 3 footers.I call it the Maytag lake because the water looks like what you'd find in a maytag washing machine. All I do is put the tabs 1/2 way down and cut right thru it and if the water is really, really bad tabs go all the way down and it's like riding on rails. Get your trim tabs...night and day difference.I thought all 502's came w/trim tabs. |
Apparently they were an option. All 502's came with hydraulic IMCO steering though. Tabs coming this winter for sure.
Yeah, to really go fast on Georgian Bay all the time, you need a minimum 30 feet, and if you can go bigger, do it. Heh. |

I ran the Tickfaw 200 2 years ago with 3 footers coming from all directions and I was passing blood for 3 days after ... The boat felt safe the whole time ... So boat is fine ..Just your body that will suffer in 3+ footers:cool: |

I have my own web server so I just copy a link to that ... If you do not .. MSN and others offer free picture hosting thn link to them
Like this http://www.waynefountain.net/Scarab/Defaul1.jpg looks like this when you use the image button http://www.waynefountain.net/Scarab/Defaul1.jpg |
I used Flickr because I get a free account through my ISP.
But since you are a paying member of OSO, you should get your own gallery on this site. I don't think my bow is chalky or are you talking about the orange one. I am going to be cleaning and waxing the whole boat after the season is over this fall, should really sparkle then. 502SCS hopefully at some point I can ship it down to Florida for the winter months . . . :) |
